About Me

I'm not your typical fitness and health blogger. I'm not a personal trainer, I've never run a marathon, and I've never lost an amazing amount of weight. I love eating junk food just as much as I love eating healthy food. I'm not a mom trying to get back in shape after having a baby. I'm not an expert by any means. So why should you care about my blog? Here's my background:

I started playing soccer when I was 4 or 5. I played competitively through high school, but my skills definitely fell off when I decided not to play in college. I still have a ton of soccer friends, and one of my goals this summer is to get out and playing soccer more. I was in shape in high school because I didn't have a choice: I was out playing soccer (and therefore running around) ALL THE TIME. Making my "workouts" fun will really help me reach my fitness goals.

Another reason soccer is so important to me: it's how I met my fiance. We played on the same indoor team... and he called 911 when I got hurt. Hurt as in rammed into a concrete wall. Here's the aftermath:
Yes, lots of broken and bruised things.
How could I resist the man who saved me? He proposed on Christmas Day 2011 on a frozen lake in Wisconsin.

We're getting married in July 2013. Every once in a while I'll be sharing some wedding planning stuff on here.

My upcoming wedding has really started to motivate me regarding my health and wellness. I want to be the best version of myself when I get married to Josh. Starting this blog has given me even more reasons to stay dedicated to my fitness goals.

I'm 23 and I graduated from IUPUI in December 2011. I have my social studies teaching license and I'm actively looking for a job teaching middle school or high school. Hopefully I'll have positive news to share on that front sometime this summer.

If you have any questions, just let me know!
